Customer Journey

Customer selects money transfer option on partner interface and selects in-person cash payout.

Partner collects receiver country information, amount, and any additional KYC.

Western Union processes the transfer and returns a Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) which is provided to the customer as a reference number.

Customer sends the MTCN to receiver.

The receiver visits a nearest Western Union agent location, presents the agent with the MTCN and government issued photo ID.

Agents pays the receiver the transfer amount in local currency and provides a receipt.
